I am an experienced and dedicated yoga teacher specialising in vinyasa flow, a dynamic and strength-building practice, linking movement with the breath and bringing harmony and balance in both body and mind.
My classes are uplifting and energetic but also grounding and nourishing. By bringing attention to safe alignment, I aim to establish steadiness and comfort in (almost!) all postures. My gentle, hands-on approach to adjusting can help students get deeper into a posture and can also bring awareness to alignment problems ensuring students feel safe and nurtured throughout the practice. All classes end with a well-deserved relaxation helping to ensure you leave the class feeling wonderfully stretched, reinvigorated and energised!
I first discovered yoga 15 years ago when I attended a couple of classes a week as a means to strengthening parts of my body that gym and spin sessions simply couldn't. Very quickly I realised yoga was far more than a 'body workout' and began to appreciate the peacefulness that yoga bought to my busy life working in the advertising industry in London.
Fast forward a few years when my life became fuller following the arrival of two sons and a real sense of what busy actually was, yoga became my solace; the place I would go to at the end of the day when the house was quiet and my body was finally rested but my mind was not. No matter how exhausted, stressed, anxious (or all three!), I may feel when I get onto the mat, the overwhelming feeling of inner calm, post practice, is what keeps me coming back day after day.
Frustrated and stressed with the lack of satisfaction my part-time role in advertising was giving me and the impact it was having on family life, in 2015 I decided to pursue yoga teacher training with YogaLondon and am now certified as a Yoga Alliance 200hour teacher.
